Reports
Because SmartMove uses GPRS large amounts of information can be collected and recorded. The position of every car is recorded along with every significant event. The data can be held indefinitely and the opportunities for analyzing this data are almost endless. Reports can be produced for the police, the regulator, the fleet manager, owners, and drivers.
All reports are provided using a standard internet browser and are available to anyone with internet access and permission. Currently reports are available to fleet management but in future a more sophisticated access mechanism will allow different people to have access to different reports.
Samples of the reports include:
Booking details
Gives a complete history of a booking. Details include
- Booking details (who, when, operator, etc.)
- Pickup/destination details
- Significant events.
- Map showing route taken to pickup point (brown line) and route taken when engaged (blue line).
This report is useful for investigating complaints and for responding to police queries

Some reports have tracking details for nominated times that include a map.
