The SmartMove Taxi Dispatch System is the next generation of data dispatch systems. While other data dispatch systems still rely on radio networks, SmartMove has been specifically designed to reduce operating costs by operating over the public mobile phone network. By using the GPRS (General Packet Radio Service) data band on an already established mobile network, costs arise only from the sending and receiving of data; taxi companies no longer need to spend large amounts of money setting up a private radio network. To further do away with the high capital investment needed for most dispatch systems, SmartMove is available via a lease agreement.

The SmartMove Taxi Dispatch System has been in successful trial use since October 2003, with commercial deployment from August 2004.

In 2005 SmartMove will be looking to expand its operations across Australia, building on our presence in Victoria and New South Wales.
